@milkshouto I just insist on it because to me the plot gave us the answer. Jax is a him in the circus because calling him a her would cause the discomfort and distance he did with Ribbit. Also if Jax was fully ready to be a “her” then he wouldn’t have killed himself, my harsh opinion

@SammyTosser @jui_cyapple This memory to me was active imagery. As physically we were watching him recreate scratch as he once originally did. In hopes of restarting and making the place better. Also I thought once he left the void he was made reverted to his old form since it’s not him his domain.

@SammyTosser @jui_cyapple In movie form it was delivered like Cain was recollecting his first appearance with them. In doing the remembrance in how he loved to try and fill fill his purpose. It felt like a direct callback to the start of episode 8 to reflect the innocent part within Cain. 1/2

I think it goes to show just how poorly communicated this scene is, that people are actually interpreting this as Caine making another world for already deceased brain scans 😭😭

TADC 9 SPOILERS; CAINE 🧵 I just realized this is Caine recreating Scratch in a seperate server (circus). Scratch actually got to live after the brain scan and its because of Caine. But scratches abstraction also still exists within the first circus.

They don’t care. It doesn’t fit their narrative. Too many people only care about being right, even if it means ignoring the truth. It was never Marathon’s fault but that doesn’t feel good for most people. They need a singular villain in a world of nuance and quite frankly? I’m done trying to explain facts and logic to people who don’t want it.

MARATHON IS MENTIONED IN THE 2010 BUNGIE-ACTIVISION DEAL?! How did no one mention this, like ever? This is huge. Marathon was being pitched right around the same time Destiny was, and at the same time Halo: Reach was just about to drop. This is unbelievable.

@colesmithen2 The biggest problem with Destiny is making lore but not telling, showing, and inviting us into enough cool Lore bits around the universe when we visit them. The absence of hearing dark and gruesome tales that influence us to do a mission or something idk. More immersion!!!!!

@aerimuniverse @NevermoreNight_ She was codependent because her inability to seek out other care from the people she wasn’t comfortable with led to her isolation and suicide. She couldn’t form a connection based on her own inaction, which is the tragedy of codependency and the separation.

Not to be a snot (which I’m sure I’ll be accused of anyway), but if TLOU2 changed your perspective on story telling I can only assume it was the very first time you thought about the craft at all.

TLOU2 came out 6 years ago today. It’s still one of the most hated and debated games ever made, but it completely changed my perspective on storytelling. From Joel’s death, to playing as Abby, to Ellie finally breaking the cycle of revenge, the game took risks that most developers would never attempt. One of the best game of the decade.

We grow hateful and even kill characters who we learn abt in Abby’s run. We get to the climax of the game and a peak moment and it’s all cut in a swap

It’s an anti revenge tale following a character who suffers from her actions and a character who’s trying to redeem herself with her actions. With parallels drawn with the ongoing war. Take these and add a few points and it’s a story.

@RavenStarMedia Yes. Like I enjoyed my time as a fan. But as a fan I can’t glaze the show. A real fan wanted it to be better. Better world building across all 9 episodes. Better reasoning and buildup to Caine’s revival and redemption. No Pomni and Ragatha cringe. Jax’s abstraction on screen.

I'm honestly relieved at seeing so so many people following the Youtube release saying they were disappointed with the Digital Circus finale. Goes to show how the community aspect of the theater helped elevate the perception of it. As an episode alone the cracks really show.
