@bluertwo Schroeder. We adopted a beagle mix and the people at the shelter named him Schroeder. I liked that indirect reference and we kept the name. Schroeder appreciated music. Second choice is Peppermint Patty.

@HNTurtledove “13 Great Stories of Science Fiction” edited by Groff Conklin. My older brother handed it down to me in the early 60’s and I fell in love with science fiction. I was about ten years old. It wasn’t just the ideas, but the wry humor of those stories (“Soap Opera,” “ The machine”).
