Calling all potential U19 men players to join the mighty Fitzroy Football Club in our inaugural A Grade year. Playing under super Fitzroy Junior Football Club Colts premiership coach, Matthew Watson, there’s no better club to be at in 2024 to start your senior footy career!

He was named in the VFL Team of the Year in 2007 & finished third in the Liston Medal. Following his time in the VFL, Travis was a playing assistant coach at Old Scotch in VAFA Premier Division & coached Old Ivanhoe to a senior C Grade premiership in 2013 and into B Grade in 2014

The Fitzroy Football Club is proud to announce Travis Ronaldson as our new Mens Senior Coach for season 2024. Travis has come to Fitzroy after a successful playing & coaching career where he played VFL for 8 years, captaining Coburg from 2006–2007, including a grand final in 2007

Travis is passionate about coaching, and his energetic and enthusiastic approach, along with his communication style, will be a great fit at Fitzroy.

In recent times Travis has been working in professional sport as Head of Strength and Conditioning and Performance Dietitian at two NRL clubs, as well as the Gold Coast Suns.

He has also captain/coached in major football leagues in regional Victoria. In particular, Travis's time spent in amateur football has given him a great understanding of the nature of amateur clubs and their unique environment and culture.

Fitzroy Football Club has a solid, experienced and successful coaching panel, a diligent, well structured Board of Directors, a playing group committed to long term success, and a supporter base larger, more vibrant, and more diverse than any in the competition.

With our promotion to A Grade in the Victorian Amateur Football League, the Fitzroy Football Club would like to hear from players who have played, or are keen to play, at the highest level of the VAFA. Arguably, the club of choice in community football.
