Student Librarians enjoyed a day in the sunshine at the Hay-on-Wye Literature Festival today! They went to talks by Five Acres High School Canon author Manjeet Mann and recent book club read Nathanael Lessore.

Our assemblies were great and we are excited to share all the results so far this year with everyone of the Five Acres High School community

In recognition of British Sandwich Week, our canteen team celebrated in style today with hot pork baguettes, fish finger sandwiches, bacon rolls and all the trimmings.

Today, we started our week of assemblies to share our achievements and experiences of the student council this year. Chairs and vice chairs are part of these assemblies and are proud to present all the results we gained. We will share the overall results of this year on Friday.

This week we are going to ask students for their opinions about the reading programme during TTRP and DEAR times. Another brilliant opportunity for students to be heard and we cannot wait for it.

On 16 April Y9 students participated in Testimony 360, a revolutionary programme from the Holocaust Educational Trust (@HolocaustUK). Combining virtual reality with interactive digital testimony, students virtually explored historical sites and "interacted" with survivors.

Well done to Year 8 student Beth who passed her junior test in the Easter holidays. She completed two races and took part in a junior racing day.
