🚨FSD 14.2.2.5 just faced the scariest real-world test I’ve ever thrown at it… and I thought it was about to end badly today😱 5 AM, pitch-black backcountry roads in Washington after 50 mph winds all night. Blind curve, zero street lights, and suddenly a massive 6-7 foot pine tree branch is lying right across my lane. I’m sitting there in shock like “WTF is my car doing right now?!” — no warning, nothing. This is exactly the kind of brutal, unpredictable sh!t I test FSD on every day. Not easy city streets or straight cross country highway cruises. ‼️Real back roads. Real danger. #Tesla

@MisterG134334 No - was trying to prevent road cracks from rocks etc. Saw on Reddit that a few people had their cameras broken that way. They cost around $300 I think to replace.

@AndyZeGerman Ouch. So who pays for this damage now. The driver or Tesla? That’s definitely not enough time to disengage and take over to a safe outcome imo

@FixorFkit Ryan are you a newbie, it’s to put the map in the full screen FSD view vs classic view.

❓Can someone from the Tesla community help me understand WHY this is even an option? Why would anyone want to limit visualization for FSD?

@FixorFkit Probably there for my parents. They hate the fullscreen FSD view, they always want the map to be showing

For me honestly I like seeing my map at times. So I will switch between views. Yes the full FSD screen is great but for me honestly I wish we had the option to see full map with speed and FSD in upper right. Part of reason why I see value is I have a Model S with 2 screens and I really like having the separate large map screen. Comes in handy at times. So since 3,CT,Y has the single screen I wish we could swipe one way for full FSD with minimum Map detail (like current view we have as option) Then swipe other way to go to default. Then continue swiping left to go full screen map with speed in upper left corner of map and FSD view in upper right corner of full screen map. That would be an amazing option at times.

Oh, deer.

Yeah, no kidding. Deer 🦌 are already camouflaged and add Seattle weather where it’s overcast all the time and you can’t see anything 😆 After I reviewed the footage —I was really impressed that FSD saw that deer the second it stuck its head out behind the tree, and FSD started slowing down!

@FixorFkit If you wouldn't have had put a red circle around the deer, we would have missed it 😅
