I'd love it if someone could help solve a puzzle I'm currently stuck in. I just found out my driver's license expired because the jackass MVC in NJ is absolute dogshit—they somehow mailed my renewal to someone else's house a month ago. Now, to renew my expired license, I have to provide a birth certificate as part of the six points of identification. I can't find my birth certificate anywhere. I most likely don't even have it anymore, since I haven't needed it since I first got my license as a teenager. I went to the state website to order a copy, but it says I need a valid ID to get a birth certificate. So basically, I'm stuck in a loop: I can't get an ID without a birth certificate, and I can't get a birth certificate without a valid ID. BUT — if I were an illegal alien, I could get free food, free housing, free cell phones, free cell service, free transportation, and basically free everything without any ID. I can't even take on new contract work right now because I can't provide proper identification. This country desperately needs a full reset on how the government treats its own citizens compared to outsiders. This is absolutely pathetic. I have no idea what to do.
