@WeAreTheMU Urgent help needed! My husband, along with 60+ other singers, were rehearsed for 5+ hours this morning without a break. They were then told to eat lunch in the break room so announcements could be made during. Is there something you can do??

@RuthKiang It’s tricky because it’s a very large and diverse group of singers from different parts of the industry, and no one really knows each other to band together. Their representative is the producer, who obviously couldn’t care less. No one wants to be ‘that one who makes trouble’

@FizzBuckland why are they agreeing to work for that long without a break? Surely they can all decide not to? This sounds terrible.

@minneymezzo @E_N_O And don’t forget all the admin staff and the production departments - who keep the building and the company running. The same applies to them. It isn’t just about the singers & orchestra.

I’m devastated for the cast and orchestra of @E_N_O. It’s insulting that their move to Manchester is being spun as something to be excited about, when so many talented and dedicated singers and players will have to choose between losing their jobs or relocating their lives. 😢

@RedRoseRomeo @minneymezzo @E_N_O Nothing - if you’re single with no ties and spare cash for a move. Many things, if you’re a family with kids in school/a partner with a job in the south/elderly or disabled relatives who rely on you being local.
