Close to the summer solstice, permanent Daylight Saving Time seems great. But if this bill goes into law, come wintertime it will be obvious that it’s a terrible idea. If you want to avoid twice-yearly time changes, permanent Standard Time is the only sensible choice.

@OVTweetmarck Idk, I care because of the very solid amount of research we have showing that standard time year round is healthier and safer for us. I don't care how many people will complain, I would like to see us do what is healthy and safe.

On daylight savings time: people complain about the current system, standard time, and daylight savings time. So why care

@tracewoodgrains I'm kind of blithely assuming this will correct somewhat in the next week or so. They always seem to over-tweak the algorithm when they do this stuff, and then it kind of works itself out, mostly.

ok now I’m going to be a bit contrarian and say that while I love my mutuals I don’t want to see only posts from them, which is what’s happening rn. having a bit of a mix between explore/exploit is genuinely good

@a_hushed_garden I think when we talk of "fault" there's a sense of assigning blame. It may be true that the fertility issues stem from your body, but because there is no way for you to change this, there is no blame to be carried. It simply is (and that doesn't make it less hard). Still hoping.

@alyssaleann Cons (final) - The installation is a tricky, finicky process, and if done incorrectly, you run into problems quickly, so finding a trusted, skilled installation company is important. Oh, there also is some maintenance requirement. Should be re-caulked every decade.

@alyssaleann Pros (last one) - we really like that they mix the paint in with the concrete/ wood pulp concoction. It makes the color nearly fade-proof. Cons - Price, obviously. The only other really big con we found is that you have to be very careful about your installer.
