It’s so retarded to me how people use the term “Rug” so loosely Yes as a creator/KOL you owe a responsibility to your audience. This means you: - Do research to understand the product and project - Research the team to ensure they have no shady past - Make sure the deal comes from a reliable source - Make sure you fully disclose your paid post. If you’ve done all of the above and all turn out to be green lights then you’ve done your basic job of due diligence. Literally 95 percent if not more of web3 product fail overtime. They either don’t manage to find the right product market fit or may not get the desired revenue to be able to continue operating in the space. Or they may shut up for a variety of other reasons . So if the business failed, is it a rug? Or is it just that the business failed to perform. The easiest way to get followers and engagement farm and/or promote your useless protocol is to bash KOLs for absolutely garbage ass reasons. If you see someone is doing a partnered post it’s also YOUR responsibility to do basic research. Having said that, I feel like people just say everything is a rug and this is exactly why building/innovating in this space is so difficult. Literally pick any other industry and apply the same and you’ll almost never see this level of witch hunting for creators.
