@Halliwell1986 @Carra23 Crowding the keeper is different from grappling and shoving. Refs have always stepped in and told players to calm down before the corners were taken. 🤣 VAR is a ref too, I think they brought VAR in to take away the blame from the refs on the pitch.

It absolutely has not always been like that on corners. That's ridiculous This is coming from all the ex pros as well, who played in the era's you're talking about. It's an absolutely fact that this level of tactical fouling and crowding the keeper has gone up magnitudes in recent seasons. If VAR didn't exist, refs might actually make fucking decisions 🤣😅

The foul on David Raya was obvious & is nothing like some of the goals Arsenal have scored from corners! Arsenal were pulled up three years ago at Leicester for holding the goalkeepers arm!! #MNF #WHUARS ⚽️📊

@Halliwell1986 @Carra23 It only seems that way because of VAR and the PGMOL magnifying the grappling like i was saying earlier. It's always been happening. If VAR didn't exist nobody would be debating this shit. That's a fact. It's basically only a topic up for discussion because they made it relevant.

I'm 40 in October I've been going to games since 1994. No one has said football overall wasn't more physical in the 90's. The point is the tactical fouling on corners has got stupidly out of hand the past few seasons. If you can't see what everyone else can then that's you issue.

@Halliwell1986 @Carra23 Watch some football highlights from the 90s and early 2000s. This is nothing new. It was even more physical back then. The game has gone soft. The thing that hasn't changed is the protection on goal keepers. They have always been given free kicks when players grapple them 👍

@FlamerBunsen @Carra23 Defenders have 100% not always had two arms around attackers, especially while facing away from the ball. It's literally a very recent issue.... 🤣

Grappling shouldn't be part of the game which is the exact argument fans are having. Havartz was fouling Soucek at the same time, but it adds to the fact there was 4/5 fouls before the Raya foul but we're at the point we'll ignore all of them because it's been deemed to difficult to officiate. That's after the PGMOL said this. You're excusing a foul on a keeper purely because you're guessing it was only a slight foul and the keeper shouldn't have been affected by the foul... But it's still a foul haha! The argument clearly isn't done because you've decided to ignore everything but the one foul you think should count...
