@LordsOfTheRinks Biggest concern is this front office is showing zero sign of changing the D group. I’ve said before though that the third pairing are not the only problem. If they were, we’d be good for 40 mins a night, and we’re not. 5 out of 6 D men are a problem.

@FlamesFanUK Not me. This whole team has dragged you j wow what all year. Worst d core, for transition and puck movement that I have seen while covering the team. A lot of work to hit the scoresheet on this team when the puck dies at the blue line while in the ozone

@LordsOfTheRinks That’s assuming he plays 1C next season. 2 weeks ago many were calling him a bust.

@FlamesFanUK I think 60 is the very low end ceiling for this guy, given that he has weapons on his wing like 10/9

@LordsOfTheRinks Agreed. Hes not a shutdown center, but was getting played there. I don’t think many would be surprised if he gets 60+ points next season playing between Panarin and Kempe. QB, new 2C, Laughton and Sami is a decent Center group.

@FlamesFanUK Yes. He’s 23. We’ve seen (second half to finish of last year) to the current stretch he’s on right now— where he’s a clear cut 1C type player. The last two seasons he’s been the matchup center against the oppositions best. I standby the fact that if he’s traded: Reinhart 2.0

Darren Dreger floated the possibility that the LA Kings could be a potential destination for Auston Matthews if he wants to be traded: "What if Toronto can't convince Auston Matthews that they can turn this thing around in a real quick fashion? What if Matthews goes to them and says, 'The way I'm feeling right now, I don't think I'm going to extend here? If I'm Kenny Holland and the LA Kings I'm calling Brad Treliving now or in the offseason and saying, 'I'd like to be in on that.'"

@NHLRussell I think some people have given up on him as the future 1C of the Kings prematurely. He’s only 23.

I don't want Anze Kopitar to miss the playoffs in his final season but this organization has embarrassed themselves two offseasons in a row, making the team worse each one. At some point there needs to be a consequence to that. And hopefully a wake up call. #GoKingsGo
