“I’m not a social media type. The lady didn’t buy the book on social media, my number and address are on the book, she couldn’t get to me through any of those means, but she chose to go to social media to discredit my work and my book. She’s too small for me to explain to, she was not born when I started teaching, however, there's nothing wrong with my book story.”
— Writer of the book reacts after a young mother raised concern about a story included in a textbook used by her son’s school.

A young mother has cr!ed out for help after reportedly receiving threats following her viral video. In the video, she raised concerns about a story included in a textbook used by her son’s school.

@brokenwingx_ @Bigstan160 @ChuksEricE Behind most published books, informations about the writer is boldy written. The book in question had the author's contact written on it.
English

@ChiduObodo @ChuksEricE If my opinion on reaching out to the author first who might even be oblivious of the weight of the story is stupidity to you, then you're far below my intellectual league. I can't engage you further.
English

@Flamesammy @ChuksEricE You're a Nigerian so it's normal to normalize stupidity
English

@kvng_urban @ChuksEricE A child in an adults body. Don't just curse out, you can equally on the floor and cry.
English

@Flamesammy @ChuksEricE You are a foolish fellow
English

@THE_CUR8OR @ChuksEricE Grow up and learn how to talk first and maybe we can have a conversation after.
English

@Flamesammy @ChuksEricE Shut the fuck up! Go and watch the woman's original video, there were 2 key things there:
1) she expressed concern about a specific part of the book - that wasn't criticism – to which she has a right to!
2) she engaged Nigerians to go and read the book and make their own views!
English

@jeygirlie @ChuksEricE I'm not in support of the prosecution of the woman, i am only saying inform the Author of the book first then go online to inform people if the Author fails to make corrections. The author might be ignorant of the weight of his actions after all.
English

@Flamesammy @ChuksEricE This is wrong mindset, and I hope you unlearn it.
In what world does review of a book attract persecution? When you publish and sell a product, be ready for reviews ranging from good to bad.
English

@ObiadinmaC @ChuksEricE Violence has no place in the life of child, whether through books or environment. The mother would have contacted the school that recommended the book first or atleast reach out to the Author. Going public should be a last resort if nothing was done by the Author after complaints
English

@Flamesammy @ChuksEricE I disagree with you. What the lady did is absolutely the right thing. The issue is that this book is not the right material for the target audience. Have you thought of the woman's child practicing the things in this book. You will call the devil right?
English

@Ohmz___ @ChuksEricE There is criticism for change and criticism for mockery. In recent times, we can say there has also been criticism for clout. No one is against criticism. But criticism should be directed towards sources that can effect a change. Going public as a first step is Calumny.
English

@Flamesammy @ChuksEricE A buyer has the right to openly criticize a product they bought with their money. The book is being consumed by a wider public. So how will that benefit other unsuspecting members of the public? She did the correct thing 100%
English

@ChuksEricE As y'all are giving your takes on the matter, avoid the need to defame my personality or call me names, if not i track you, i will get you and i will show you that the law is bigger than social media noise. If my opinion doesn't sit well with you, give your take with wisdom.
English

@ChuksEricE Why the man's stance on the matter maybe wrong, but there is a thin line between correction and criticism.
The lady criticised the book openly. If the contact of the Author is available, email the author with your findings.

After seven years of intense work, I am excited to announce that my new book, The Law of the Sublime, will be out in November. and is now available for pre-order (see link below).
The book is designed to expand your mind, and to reveal to you a world to explore beyond what you consider reality: the realm of the Sublime.
This adventure does not require travel, drugs, or any form of external stimulation.
It only requires a new pair of eyes to see the extraordinary all around you.
Through stories, exercises, and meditations, the book will immerse you in the Sublime and forever transform how you experience life.
