I'd like to ask people to share some of their ideas for comparisons and analogies. What are some of the ones you use to connect two seemingly unrelated things or ideas together, to show that one of those ideas is a bigger, deeper deal than most people realize?

just got back from the ER, my spine pain was a 14/10, they found 5 joints on my spine degenerating bc of my JIA. It’s dumb, but all I wanted was good news this week & instead I’m just disappointed in my own body’s ability to function. May be MIA for a bit, ty for understanding❤️

I recall seeing someone having used an analogy against me, saying that there are people who are deathly allergic to things like nuts. That there are people who will actually drop dead just by being in close proximity to any nut, but we don't outlaw nuts worldwide even to save...

@SiegburnShin @elnakon @changlifan_ My point is that English voice acting should be forbidden even in the places where it would be "native" otherwise. With Japanese voice actors as superior as they are, there's no reason to not entrust them with voicing Western animations and games on top of Eastern ones.
