@FlangeFlanders @PaulieM80 Really. I was working in Dublin building sites in 1990. My salary was 400 punts a week and my rent was 30 punts a week. Pubs were full every night. I bought a house aged 25. On a single salary.

@Angel44Irish @PaulieM80 You must not be Irish, the early 90s still wasn't booming. Dad also has the courage to post under his own name...

Good news anyone? I had my 6-month scan in St Luke’s today. All clear! That’s 51 months now, with a final scan in one year🙏 Always happy to share my story, offer tips on my journey etc. Nasopharyngeal Cancer Stage III was my diagnosis. Thankfully I was one of the lucky ones.

@EwanMacKenna @JackPosobiec @KevinPosobiec Genuine question, not trying to be smart, you say you wont charge.....should you not be paying them to come on your podcast? just something I've wondered about media - have wondered how it works on current affairs shows

Happy to have either or both @JackPosobiec and @KevinPosobiec on pod. Won't charge and will release free to avoid grift or sell etc. Fair but frank. I think I know US foreign policy and Ireland and political ideology well. They seem to think I'm a beta communist. Man up so?

@suemcco11 the amount of bots and faceless accounts on this site now is ridiculous, it'd be infinitely better if people had to put up real pics and names.

Ppl on social media especially twitter have lost ALL ABILITY to disagree with eachother in an adult, respectful manner & it’s spilling over to the real world too. ppl used to allow discussion & different opinions but now it’s like oh you disagree with me? here’s a bunch of insults & anger thrown your way to try shut you down because I won’t hear your opinion because i’m right you’re wrong, attack attack attack. Ugh so many ppl just are just done in these days 🙄🙄🤦🏼‍♀️

@PlayerGaelic Not to mention an inherent unfairness to the provincial structures. Some teams might qualify for the final after winning 1 game, some need 3 or even more.

There is something inherently wrong with a championship structure that can leave counties with a 6-7 week wait until the next fixture. Two separate competitions, with one unable to begin until the other finishes…..and all because of the insistence of the few. Agree or not?

@SmallerFishGAA Not to forget safe, boring analysis, a lack of in game innovation (e.g. in screen replays, behind goal shots for kick outs, a complete focus on the glamorous games rather than show smaller gounties) etc. TG4 brings much better coverage but doesn't get the championship.

On the topic of marketing the games RTE are the main broadcast rights holder that do no midweek TV chat show. They have the highlights rights but don't use them to do a midweek analysis show. They try to jam hurling and football into the same Sunday night highlights show, despite the number of games exploding They did a championship preview chat and hid it on the player They completely ignore club season until county final time Imagine the lack of self awareness you'd need to have to put this out as a promo clip

It's probably similar in how The taoiseach and tanaiste have reacted to protesters whereas I have seen local govt tds engaged with with respect and openly

Rather than actually engaged with those involved. Face to face journalism is still needed. I would have varying views about it and I know there are some guriers hitching their cart but vast majority outside Dublin are hard working people who are at the pin of their collar. (2/n)

@cooper_m , big fan of P2P pod as well as a subscriber, also generally enjoy John Deasy and Brenda Power. I know it's 2 days old now but I'm shocked at how out of touch they were at the fuel protests. It struck me as being commentators who've followed protests via socials (1/n)
