@markmartin This tire is lower profile, so to get the same volume in it, it has to be wider. The 15” tire was a higher profile and more narrow…I figure it has something to do with load distribution, especially the load in the corners, but I’m just guessing.

According to John Probst Goodyear wanted the tire to be that wide because they wanted to same volume of air in them as they had in the 15” wheel setup. You and I don’t understand why that makes sense but if they answered the question I bet it would make sense.

@markmartin I watched your take on lower downforce. First off - agree with your take, I've been saying this for 10 years. However this car has more problems than just the downforce. A huge detriment is the fat tires. These provide way too much grip. Back in the day if you (1/2)

"No" Is the one-word reply from NASCAR when I texted regarding any punishment for the "F" word delivered by excited Clash winner @RyanPreece_ during interview immediately after the win on live TV. Does the "F" word delivery get any fine or any punishment. Answer, "No". It's not been NASCAR's policy to punish for Live TV F-bombs but asked anyway, for folks who keep throwing that out. So officially put that one to bed.

@SloppyYellow @SpotterBrett I don’t understand what was SO wrong with the way that Atlanta WAS. This form of racing isn’t interesting to me (my opinion, I suppose). Four times a year was enough for me. I miss the driver having the ability to use their talent to make the race AND car good.
