@Haljegh lower orb amounts are usually better if you're not actually trying to keep them around (like frost) while higher amounts lets you keep them for their passives rather than their evokes. They made that 0 energy trigger all lightning card too which also wants a lot of lightning

@FlareIsGone Orb slots are really strong just slow. Its hard to say how objectively powerful they are since they require a fight to take several turns for max value. This might mean orb slots are a curse or close to it on hallway fights.

Combining Focus and Orb Slots is really good! Who could have guessed this? Adding more ways to get both in Slay the Spire 2 has been amazing to play with.

@poncle_vampire I played the demo on every character, got every unlock in the shop and did as much as I could in the game before I couldn't really do anything else. Very hyped for the game, can't wait to make videos on it too

@FlareIsGone hrm, I notice Unrelenting doesn't say "this turn". You think if it hit off of Stampede you'd still get the 0 cost benefit in the next turn?

Another big inclusion in Slay the Spire 2 are the cards Unrelenting, Synthesis, and Pounce. Solid 2 energy 12(18 upgraded) attacks, that let you cheat out more powerful cards, across turns. Big fan of playing Synthesis > Echo Form or Unrelenting > Bludgeon

@ricassojordayne Yes, from the unicorn looking blue lady. Still really good ofc and tbh I you're probably as likely to get it that way as you were in a shop and being able to afford it

Whoever at Mega Crit gave Apotheosis Innate in Slay the Spire 2 deserves a raise. Having it at the start of every combat costing 1 when upgraded is so huge.

@FlareIsGone Stomp is good but I think you need some 0-cost attacks (ie, Anger) to make it consistent

Pinpoint and Stomp are pretty sick inclusions. I love getting 0 energy good damage for something I want to do already

Why yes, I think I will take 0 energy gain 2 energy with hardly a downside. This will go perfectly with my 0 energy draw 3 cards.

The Ethereal package for Necrobinder in Slay the Spire 2 is really interesting. Most of the cards are powerful, since Ethereal is a "downside" so when you combine them together they pop. Veilpiercer + Demense is nasty also

My Slay the Spire 2 videos are already getting as crazy numbers as my Balatro videos. Hopefully we can hit 50k by the end of the year at this rate 🙏You can see the spikes in views in Feb 2025 and now march 2026

@im_a_goat_dad draw a shit load of cards and everything thats 2 has a 50% chance to cost less, and 25% chance to cost the same for 3 cost its 75% chance to be less

@FlareIsGone I hate the Snecko Eye personally. Too much RNG involved. If you’re able to make a deck that is built around it I suppose it could work, but there’s so many better options for relics in my opinion

I'm a really big fan of all the new ways in Slay the Spire 2 to make use of Snecko Eye, which is still one of my favorite relics easily.

Chemical X and Dirge combine for some really hilarious infinites, since dirge will play twice no matter what at 0 energy you can legit just dirge draw dirge draw after a certain point

@FlareIsGone It literally says "Upon pickup, choose an Attack card or Skill card in your Deck to Enchant with Royally Approved." It cannot be applied to Powers.

I just tried to put royal stamp on my echo form to give it Innate and Retain, but it wouldn't let me :( GG game knows Echo Form in opening hand every game would be nuts
