Made it to lvl 10 without dying on my Hardcore Warrior custom build in POE2! Feels good!!! Sorry I ended stream early I shut down steam and forgot OBS was on there then I just kinda got hungry

@RaphDeee One of my favourite games (Against the Storm) actually applies this logic while being a city builder (I think is the first of it's kind). You are always building up and once you hit your goal you move on to start a new town with it's own challenges.

The satisfying game loop of dealing no dmg to unlocking the one weapon or ability that makes you OP and then losing it all when you upgrade the torment level and trying to solve the problem again

@RaphDeee I can't think of a better way to put it than this poorly drawn graph. It might be more zig zaggy but I am admittedly thinking of XCOM where something that makes you go "o shit" appears, you get a better gun and then face off against an entire squad of them so it is harder.

@RaphDeee I think it was a pebble in your Rogue's shoe. My actual guess based on something that happened to my Paladin is that you absorbed every single hit of a spell that is usually shot in a fan like pattern so you'd only take 1 or 2 max instead of 6+.

@RaphDeee Thinking on it even a card as basic as this has *some* value depending on what you are doing. What if you are building a bear deck? What if you are doing a draft and you are playing green? It may not be the best but it is not nothing.

I know this is unpopular, but it will always be unattractive for a grown man to play video games. Some women might be understanding or pretend like they don’t care that you spend hours playing, but they do. It is extremely unattractive to women and will never not be. 🤷🏼‍♀️
