No, by definition I'm not. Not only through a lack of self identification within the group but a lack of motivation to actively participate. I'm interested but not a fan. That's why Undertale is my perfect example to pull out to try and explain it to people who don't see the difference.

Can you truly be a fan of an interactive story you have never participated in? For example, I'm well versed on Undertale, its lore and characters, the nature of the fandom, and enjoy many of the narrative tools used by Toby... But I don't call myself a fan because I haven't played it and don't have an interest to do so at this time.
