Definitely... We need to get back into the single market and get supplies back to normal in our supermarkets. Get rid of self imposed trade barriers and start putting money back into the economy.

@Peston Starmer isn't so lucky to have inherited 14 years of Tory decay and the massive debts they have left the UK in. Sunak and Co left UK's global reputation in tatters. Starmer sends out a positive image to the EU and rest of the world.

Another manifestation of lucky Starmer and unlucky Sunak. The European Community Summit at Bleinheim is the slickest and best organised international summit hosted by the UK I have attended in years. Even the (free) ice cream is yummy (sorry to trivialise). And it is happening at Sunak’s instigation and was organised on his watch. EU delegations say they would like the UK to host it permanently (no chance, by the way). And Starmer gets the credit for his predecessor’s work. No one said politics was fair
