Did you know that jailers, from the 17th century until about the mid 1800's, had key pistols?
The key pistols were used if a prisoner became too aggressive and tried to get out while the jailor opened the door, they could fire through the key hole.

@misraetel I wouldn't be so optimistic. AI basically alrady got trained on the best part of the internet, so I wouldn't expect it to become exponentially better in the near future.
There are many ways to define AGI (artificial general intelligence). None of them are perfect. I've shared a few before, so here's another quick one:
AGI can be considered somewhat achieved once an online AI agent can do any randomly chosen online (or rather, computer-only) job a randomly chosen human can, and generate at-or-above the same income that human can.
The great thing about this is that it's very straightforward to test, and it's also a huge transformation, because once you can hire online agents that can do all digital work at roughly human level, about a few months later they do it at "90th percentile human" level and the labor force for all digital work just exploded into the incalculable billions or more workers working around the clock. GPD goes UP UP UP!
For the record, I think this will happen by 2027 if not earlier.
