Supporting Young People on the Autism Spectrum in Schools presented by RISE. A showcase of research and stakeholder engagement at Flinders University. It was great to catch up with leaders and advocates and hear about the inclusive education initiatives happening in SA.

I had a great morning listening to diverse Autism Research from the great team @FlindersRISE It was also very exciting to hear from @emsbourke about the new statewide strategy, including the Autism Lead Teacher positions commencing in primary schools next year. @FlindersEPSW

We are looking forward to working with @emsbourke to support young people with autism as part of broader inclusive practices.

A central premise of Portuguese education policy is that it is not necessary to categorise in order to intervene. This is helping to foster positive attitudes to learner diversity. An important message here for policy makers in the UK and elsewhere.
