Tuesday's horse racing thread 🧵 Lingfield 2.15 Zamek 3/1 Kelso 2.55 Moon Phases 2/1 Limerick 3.05 Hees Dynamite 2/1 Lingfield 3.15 Scorpio Rising 10/11 NAP Kelso 3.25 Joltin N Jiving 15/8 NEXT BEST Kosac D'oudairies could be pretty useful but he has a long layoff to overcome and can be keen so this might not be straightforward. I actually think ZAMEK is better value. He is a good looking type who shaped well in defeat beaten just over 2 lengths on debut in a bumper at Chepstow. He has since joined Olly Murphy and could also be a nice prospect so at the prices is worth chancing. Now sent handicapping over fences I can see MOON PHASES improving again and getting off the mark. He shaped well in a bumper at Ayr on penultimate start and then ran well to finish fourth on debut over hurdles at the start of the month. He should tighten up for the run and I know connections think a lot of him so he should be good enough to beat this field as it looks a winnable race on paper. I can see HEES DYNAMITE giving weight and a beating here. He has improved since going chasing winning 2 from 3 and was much the best at Galway last month winning by 5 lengths at the line. He seemed to love the step up in trip last time and remains completely unexposed over 3 miles over fences so is a horse to keep on side. The money is coming and it should be gamble landed. There was plenty to like about the way SCORPIO RISING won at Perth last month. He was heavily backed and stayed on strongly to get off the mark over hurdles. I like the second Sleedagh going forward and the third Jentobello is a decent yardstick too so the form should work out. He goes handicapping now and is open to further progress so should prove a cut above these as the market is suggesting. The way JOLTIN N JIVING won at Carlisle was impressive. He was well backed and poured it on to win easily by about 8 lengths at the line. He can probably jump better too so to win by that distance is even more encouraging. He obviously disappointed at Aintree but was held up and could never land a blow. That was obviously a Grade 1 and he was sent off 150/1 so best to put a line through that. Now handicapping he is one to keep on side as he looks well treated.
