I meant to include that in my previous message. It's appropriate and helpful to bring this to their attention. "Hi Home Depot, I noticed your ordering system deleted and replaced my purchased with the same item, except now it's backordered and the price went up $50. This is a serious issue someone should look into, as I did not authorize the additional $50 to be charged. Thank you." Your message was very hostile. Remember, ordinary people are running these social media accounts and they get bombarded with so much negativity and anger. Additionally, many other people organically come in contact with posts like this, myself included, and it's just pure negative. Negativity spreads to others. It's best practice to try and be polite in these situations. There's plenty of negativity in the world. Add more positivity.

@Floofocalypse I wouldn’t disagree it could have been an automatic error. That said, I still feel it’s worth speaking up. Sometimes public posts are what actually get a large company’s attention and lead to issues being addressed, rather than quietly fixing it at the store .

Really shitty thing to do @HomeDepot cancel my order then re apply the order and it goes up in price. I spend about $10,000 to $20,000 a year at your store as a contractor. This is a really shitty thing to do to a long time customer.

@Bluehasia I doubt this was intentional. There are numerous explanations why this might have happened with the ordering system. I will eat my words if HD is secretly mass swapping items in carts and altering orders to steal money. Imo that is one of the least likely scenarios here.

@Floofocalypse I plan to, but they also needed to be publicly blasted for that shady and probably illegal price hike after i bought it.
