This guy is a piece of work. Who owns John Thune? That’s the burning question blazing thru MAGA right now. Peter Bernegger (@PeterBernegger), the election integrity bulldog behind Election Watch, just dropped a bombshell thread exposing what he calls massive “smurfing” into Thune’s campaign—$1,148,902 laundered through 3,996 tiny, suspicious donor transactions from 714 unique “smurfers.” Much of it allegedly funneled from US Treasury funds—your tax dollars. He filed an FEC complaint in Dec 2025, then sued the FEC in Jan 2026 when they ghosted it. Smurfing = criminal money laundering tactic: breaking big illegal donations into small, reportable chunks. Why? To hide the source. Bernegger’s hit other senators too: Baldwin, Graham, Klobuchar, etc. but Thune as Senate Majority Leader? This hits different. Why is Thune stonewalling the SAVE Act —talking filibuster on citizen-only voting when 80%+ Americans want it? Why block election security that could stop non-citizen voting cold? Follow the money: OpenSecrets shows Thune’s hauled in big from lobbyists ($437k+ cycle), securities/investment ($1.1M+), insurance, transportation—globalist-friendly industries that love open borders and cheap labor. So wait. Dark money floods in while he cuddles with the swamp? Is Thune owned by Big Lobby, dark money PACs, or worse—foreign-influenced slush funds via Treasury loopholes? Time to ask hard questions: Who really pulls Thune’s strings? Why no FEC action? Why no arrests? MAGA gifted Republicans a trifecta victory—yet unseen forces have a chokehold on leadership. So why hasn’t anything happened? Who is preventing accountability/justice? Is it all the career deep state operatives inside the DOJ subverting from within? Or the activist judges? Or the cowardly prosecutors who don’t want to take on these cases? Or the failure of leaders to recognize the urgency of this moment? Or the lack of courage in seeking solutions outside of a failing system that will never police itself? This is not a time for cowards. We need warriors who recognize we’re in a war and actually believe they can win this.
