ARCADE TIME KNOCKOUT #3 🥊 $1,000 Melee Prize Pool 💰 $1,000 SSBU Prize Pool 💰 Will be happening: February 9th, 2026 But also! I wanted to share some updates: I wanted to thank everyone for the incredible reception to the new local I’m running in Orlando, ATKO! Just from attendance, ATKO is now the BIGGEST LOCAL IN AMERICA. Over 200 people attended both events. We’ve had two amazing events so far with thousands of dollars in prizes. $1,000 prize pool per game is an amazing thing we’re able to pull off for 2026. I spoke to the owners and we all agreed that this level of tournament, a “super-local”, is really only possible thanks to the amazing volunteer support we get from Central Florida Smash. From people bringing their own setups, to helping out with bracket pools, to making long drives to Orlando, a local is only a local because the people show up. Because the tournament now features two games (SSBU + SSBM) with insane prize pools and to avoid volunteer burnout, we’re switching to a bi-weekly format as opposed to weekly. I spoke to dozens of people who attended the events and they all mentioned they would prefer a bi-weekly format. Giving everyone a “breather” in between these amazing events helps to prepare for each one. I’d like to start flying out top players for these events, and having that extra week to plan does help quite a bit. I would also like more time to promote these events to nearby regions, such as Georgia, South Florida, panhandle etc. The good news is, we’re also removing the attendance cap on the events and letting as many people enter as they’d like. There’s also plans to expand into even MORE FGC games, so I’ll keep everyone posted on that. Registration for the next event is below!!
