"I wasn't in a position to make decisions regarding promotions so I followed whatever was decided for me. There were absolutely no other motives or calculations involved. Until now, there hasn't been a channel for communication and no reason or opportunity for interviews. And it would have been reckless for me to suddenly say I wanted to do an interview on my own. I thought that doing the interview through Squid Game could serve as a valid reason. Even for myself, it's been a long time since I've done an interview, so I put a lot of thought into it, took courage and came forward with a cautious mind.

I thought it was my last work, released the results, and expired (my contract) with the company, but fans still want us to reunite, and I'm more heartbroken than angry. There are many photos where I and the members are tagged together, so I feel guilty toward the members and have to live with that feeling for the rest of my life, but I don't think anyone can fully feel the pain of looking at a photo of a separated family unless they are the ones involved. So I think I spoke in the wrong way, and I want to bow my head once again and apologize from the bottom of my heart."
