Never over complicate ways to get open looks. Flipped pin down and trail screens can get you 3 low effort points. Teams with the easiest looks tend to win the game.
900 victories, countless memories.
An amazing group of people were there to see a lot of them 🎥❤️

Alvin Gentry SLOB (2008 Suns): Elite execution by Phoenix. Entry to Amar’e Stoudemire as a face-up threat immediately draws attention. Grant Hill (inbounder) sprints to the rim off a Nash backscreen (shoulder-to-shoulder). If the dump-off isn’t there, Steve Nash flows into an uphill DHO → Peja action with Amar’e. Weakside, Shaquille O’Neal sets a flare for Jason Richardson—curl, re-screen, clear-out 3, or Shaq slip. Great example of weaponizing versatility with the Phoenix Suns.

Tommy Lloyd PnR blitz counter: Opposite low man flashes to the high post as the 5 dives, forcing the tag defender to guard two. Take away the roll and the strong-side corner is wide open destroying Alabama’s blitz coverage. Krivas is outstanding here, sealing the recovering big in jail for the high-low.

Bill Self play: Great grenade action (uphill DHO) between Darryn Peterson and Flory Bidunga. The skip to the non-shooting 5 shifts the defense, letting Bidunga pin Peterson’s man as he sprints into the DHO. With Bidunga’s defender already playing off, the rotation is late—creating a clean catch-and-shoot look. A perfect counter to defenses playing free safety or drop coverage off the 5. #KansasBasketball#KUBasketball#BillSelf#CollegeHoops#XAndO#BasketballTactics#DHO#GrenadeAction#NCAAB#CoachingTips
