I’m pretty sure Iizuka is heavily involved with the approval process for Sonic Speed Simulator.
According to the devs, Iizuka personally approves the dialog, and does the Japanese Translations.
(I personally don’t consider the game canon, and it certainly doesn’t fit in a timeline, but you could consider some dialogue exchanges canon maybe??)

The reason for Infinite's appearance in Sonic Speed Simulator was kept very vague during previous events.
This time around, many of the characters, and Infinite himself, have dialogue stating that he's just a Phantom Ruby illusion.
Vector references the recent Chaotix Casefiles audio drama, revealing that the real Infinite is still alive.

I'd argue Mario Kart World is more egregious because it also impacts singleplayer content but it's ironic that both these games have a massive flaw with it's online modes and I just wonder who's gonna probably fix it first..

@AdriWindGB Not necessarily the Minecart, just Handling Vehicles in general, since Both Ring Engine increases your stacks, the handling becomes fucking bonkers, not to say everything is unbalanced, you can still get your teeth kicked in with this new meta
