My husband’s main interest is watching sports and mine is gaming and playing instruments. We enjoyed these together when we were dating, but now mostly apart

@MattWalshBlog My kids seem to like 20th century music. My oldest son is into 70’s prog rock I’ve never heard of, my youngest her son likes 80’s. My daughters seem to prefer video game music for the most part. Everyone likes classical. I’m a fan of folk music and renaissance/bardcore stuff.

Every decade in modern American history can be identified and defined by its own style, its own approach to music, film, fashion, its own aesthetic. That seems to have stopped right around 2010. The 2010s don't really have their own unique feel, even in retrospect. The 2020s certainly don't. We're more than halfway through the decade. What are the movies, music, style, and trends that this decade will be remembered for? It's like we fell into some kind of cultural blackhole 15 years ago.

@Kristinartz We had a home room but it wasn’t first period. It was basically for socializing, completing homework, etc. I always liked when I had band for homeroom, so I could get in extra practice.

Related to the Final Fantasy XIV story skipping debate: A lot of people have trouble getting invested in the FFXIV story due to how slowly paced the beginning part of the game is. "The game gets good about 100 hours in," is a meme that I think many people take literally, and it makes them want to skip past it, or not play the game at all. I made this joke a while ago, about forcing everyone to listen to me narrate the beginning... but what if I did it for real? I'll do a super long stream, where I'll go all in, voice act every character, and do my very best to make the story as engaging and interesting for you as possible! I'll even teach things like quality of life settings, some side content, and we'll all play together to make it as easy and fun to get invested in your adventure! Would you be interested in such an event?

@LordWolfeNJ @Maziodyne_ I think the hardest thing about it is when you are trying to go through the story at an enjoyable pace, but also fate farm. There are always those folks that zip through the MSQ right away and unlock flying and they get the fate cleared before you can run to it.

@Maziodyne_ I like how you cant complete them until you do the entire msq in the zone. Prevents people from trying to skip most of the zone just to finish quickly.

Is it a safe space to say I like the Aether Currents? Idk how the community feels about them, I can see how theyre seen as annoying but I find it fun collecting them

@Maziodyne_ @shitorisaurus They are often along your MSQ “route” so it’s most helpful to collect them as you proceed through the quests. I think it harder to go back and find them later.

@TayBCrawford @The_Only_Barbie From what I’ve heard, there are many levels of study and certification for stylists. I’m pretty sure they all start with men’s styles, and then go on to Caucasian-type women’s styles. I believe it is optional to continue and learn different textured hair such as African-type.

I would assume that to become a hair stylist and get your cosmetology license that you are tested in all types of hair. Could be wrong. Could also be where she got her training. But I would hope the requirements to get a license would involve every type of hair there is. Grey hair also acts different and takes color different. Some white people have extremely curly hair. Of course mix raced folks could have any hair type. I’m sure there are people out there that have hair horror stories from somebody that’s a different race and will forever be jaded, but I dunno about writing everyone off just because of their color. I’m glad she had an excellent experience!
