Final: Clippers 104, Jazz 82. Keaton Wagler’s 3rd quarter display lifted Los Angeles to their first Summer League win as the guard scored 18 in the frame and 23 for the game. Baba Miller had 15 points, 5 rebounds; Sean Pedulla was +30; Nick Martinelli added 14 points, 6 rebounds.

Keaton Wagler’s night is done after a 23-point performance, with 18 coming in the third quarter. Wagler, who played 28 minutes, finishes with 4 assists, as well. The No. 5 overall selection was 6-for-16 from the field but went 4-for-7 on 3s. A very good display of aggression.

It did not count, but Keaton Wagler dunked.

Clippers lead Jazz 82-56 after three. Keaton Wagler has 23 points for the game, with 18 coming in the third quarter alone. Wagler was 5-for-8 in the third with 3 made 3s. That was some kind of show from Wagler in the frame, and the Clippers have blown this one wide open.

Keaton Wagler has 15 points in the third quarter alone, and is up to 20 points in the game.

Keaton Wagler got hit in the face and Nick Martinelli started to walk over towards the Utah bench as if he was going to fight on Wagler’s behalf. The play is under review for a possible flagrant foul. Clippers lead 65-54.

There’s a place in this league for guys who seem to understand their role and know exactly what it is they do well and, even more importantly, what they do not do well. Nick Martinelli probably falls in that group. Might be something there for the four-year Wildcat.
