While yes, ichigan beat Ohio State in a 1 game affair to end their season, Ohio State sweeping ichigan in Ann Arbor ultimately ended theres as well by taking them from firmly in to putting them on the wrong side of the bubble.

We don’t need to diminish what Urban did at all. He beat a couple ichigan teams that were on the doorsteps of playoffs. Almost all of them had top 10 defenses too. Urban was just obsessed with that game and that won him 7 of them.
Day has had to face a couple cheating wolverine teams that made him have a mental meltdown in the next couple of games against them. He’s partially to blame for the 4 losses, meaning for 23 and 24.
He has to use 2025 as a confidence boost, a fresh start if you will, and start to transform his approach to The Game into a more Urbanesque one. If he can do that, he will never lose more than maybe 1-2 times to them for the rest of his career.
How the rivalry goes for him from here is completely in his hands.
