@Flyforluv Crystal Gayle, the Gatlin, Brothers, Alison Krauss and Union gap, Dwight Yoakam, a whole lot of artists who are deserved of being inside. Granted, she may be the biggest donor and her résumé just in her first four albums is that of most people’s careers.

I think the funniest part of the whole Taylor sued Olivia thing is that not only is it not true, it’s never been true for anyone. There is no precedent of Taylor suing anyone for music reasons, and there are tons of people out there that have taken clear inspiration from her

@travtaykelc @Flyforluv Well i wouldn't say all that. Taylor made country global and gave it an audience outside the us with fearless (ybwm and love story specifically) but country was never gonna die she just stopped it from being niche.

@cottagecore20 True. But she is one of the best songwriters of all time. First ballot was a no brainer there. Only 1/3 of her discography could be considered country. That is what gives me pause for the County Music HOF as a forst ballot

@Flyforluv Probably, but there’s also a ton of songwriters who haven’t been even nominated for SHOF, but she got that first time.

@cason_q I love that 😍. She works so hard and gives back even more whether through her art, the way she inspires people, or her charitable donations. I think it's just because they only induct 3 people every year that so many are waiting. I feel like they need to expand the field

@Flyforluv Fair point, all those artists are legends and it's shameful they haven't been inducted (especially the female artists who more than deserve the honor) But as a TN native who works in Nashville, Taylor has continued to give and support country music/hall of fame. Love her for it
