@Basement_WeebX Indeed, it does dépend a lot of the the vertical investment scaling of the said character. Anaxa is pretty much for low cost while Castorice is more for high cost. There are also characters where getting E2S1 regardless of your current roster will immediately help you (E9/Phain)

@Flyh_builds I agree. I will say, generally speaking, I do think you should invest in your supports before your DPS. Obviously it depends on the character, but DPS Es can be very hit or miss. Example, Anaxa vs Castorice. I have him E6 and her E2. I have E1 Cery and E3 DHPT.

Yes and no. With the exception of Pollux that forces you a healer, every boss has no such hard locking archetype condition - even Pom-Pom. It's only a AA debuff thing that is indeed cringe. Otherwise so many E2 characters easily clear everything btw, even some old ones...

Reminder that getting E2 or E6 characters doesn't guarantee you an easy win against all content, only go for it if you like them. The endgame has become such an archetype locked, not only that, they also made an anti specific team mechanic for the enemies.

@Basement_WeebX Yes and it'll continue to be like that for a while for AA, let alone MoC/PF/AS where you'll shit on them for a very long time. That's why I prefer investing in a full team rather than E0S0/E0S1 max characters 😊

@Flyh_builds I agree with this. My go-to team is Cas/Hyacine/Cipher/Tribbie. They’re all E2 and they all have sig. Because of them, I was able to zero cycle the last 4 AAs.

All it comes down is pulling cleverly for a character's teams there is literally no point of pulling the newest shiny DPS if you never commit to their team / vertical investment in my opinion.

E2 Phainon or Evernight straight up ignore most mechanics for example... Investing in a full E2S1 team guarantees you ultra easy 0 cycle clears in MoC, 40k PF and low AV consuming in AS for at least 1 side which let's the other team easily clear as well.

Probably the worst AA King I've faced so far, Pom-Pom is just a horrible designed boss in my opinion. Unlike Sparxiecon or Lygus that actively helps you with their mechanics, Pom-Pom is just have Punchlines to remove my DMG reduction... just a little DMG burst...

That's what happens when the team is not invested they'll fall off hard. Pull their relevant supports / eidolons, such as E1 Mydei/Aglaea or E2 Phainon if you want them to last longer. Though a usual full E0S1 team for every one of them is clearing easily

@doublevalen6 Well I can understand the frustration of pulling characters you don't necessarily like but for me as long as they make my Main DPS shine I don't care and I pull for them, cuz what's the point of being grumpy about my pulls if I don't play the character I love after all

Until you remember Genshin has elemental reactions something that HSR does not have. Not only nobody wants their fave being a 4*, you'lll need their E6 anyway to unlock their full potential which costs more than a E0 limited 5*. Plus, free 5* are so much better than 4* anyway

@Flyh_builds My biggest gripe is that, cuz of how banners in hsr work, you need 4* to get something from a one 10 pull. Imho, they either should figure how to do new 4* or they shoud stop new 4* and open the path to level all the previous ones to 5*( give some buffs, stats and add a star)
