@johnnidijulius How about divisions for team tournament but no divisions for individual tournament? This is the New Jersey and Delaware model. Gives teams something to celebrate without diluting the actual individual titles.

I’ve always been against more divisions at HS states. Does it make AD’s happy with more schools getting qualifiers? Sure. But it promotes complacency not just amongst athletes, but amongst coaches who now don’t have to fundraise as hard or be as present in the off season.
