What utter rubbish Malcolm and you know it. (1) Scotland does NOT have a deficit as it cannot legally (under UK/English constitution) have one. (2) Any deficit that would be asked of Scotland post independence would met with demands for share of UK/English assets. Check mate.

The US undertook this military action with Israel on its own, without consulting NATO members. The US (Trump, JD Vance, and others in the State Department) have attacked NATO and EU countries verbally and with tariffs, and now they want help with a military action that is completely their own? Maybe Trump should ask his ally, Russia, for help.

@defense_civil25 Every single one. Not the reluctant ones. Not the difficult ones. All of them. Unanimously. With unusual speed. That is not an alliance problem. That is a verdict.

Perhaps because the US intel chief admitted under oath yesterday that there was no nuclear threat, every war analyst for the last 50 yrs knew this was a deeply dangerous war, and it was completely unnecessary since Iran had already agreed to substantial terms in negotiated talks.

You all started an illegal war. A war we citizens did not want A war that was started without any attack on our homeland A war that has already resulted in our men & women killed in battle A war that was done without congress' approval The WH traitor shunned our allies. Now that he's stuck with another endless war he started, ya'll want our allies to help us? Idiots, all of you

@defense_civil25 When will Trump acknowledge that NATO was formed for the mutual defence of its members, not as his personal train set for engaging in his belligerent misadventures and digging him out of the doo-doo when it all goes wrong?

@defense_civil25 Your war with Israel. NATO is a defensive alliance, not an offensive alliance. If you insist on spending weeks verbally assaulting these people, you should not then be surprised when they collectively tell you to fuck off.

Trump is a malignant narcissist. He'll never actually admit he needs help, and instead will mock and belittle those he clearly needs help from; expecting countries that he's repeatedly bullied to come to his aid as part of a last ditch effort to keep the damage to his ratings at a minimum—because that's all he really cares about. One moment he's pleading for aid from allies he's alienated, the next moment he's insulting them and claiming "we don't need em" like a temperamental child. Trump's war of choice is shocking markets and increasing oil prices while achieving nothing in the way of "regime change." His only concerns are how rising prices and market swings are affecting his declining ratings. His public statements change day to day so he doesn't spook markets. He lies to protect HIMSELF. Trump's incompetence is on full display. He obviously didn't prepare for these eventualities. He dismissed concerns about Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz and bombing neighboring countries. Two major retaliatory moves that anyone could have predicted. He was even warned explicitly by the intelligence community that Iran would resort to these measures. Trump didn't prepare for the disruption of global trade and oil distribution caused by Strait closures. He didn't prepare for what would happen if major oil exporters were forced to shut in the wells, or if Iran started blowing up tankers. He never cared about how this war would impact other countries who rely on the strait of Hormuz for oil trade—some of them our middle east allies who aren't very happy with us right now. Even if the Strait became 100% operational and safe tomorrow, these countries have already shut in oil production. Meaning they can't just magically turn the faucet back on. Major setbacks are INEVITABLE. Oil is a global market, so this whole crisis still affects us. Higher costs for gas and other goods are unavoidable for Americans. Not to mention the war's MASSIVE price tag These are consequence of Trump's incompetence and poor planning. Meanwhile, The US economy is a MESS. Trump's policies were exploding the debt and deficit BEFORE this war. Although the White House has been gloating for months about lower gas prices, the primary drivers behind cheaper gas were seasonal demand patterns and a global economic slowdown causing crude oil prices to drop. Under Biden, domestic oil production hit record highs. Trump took credit for this trend. However, not a single Trump policy has contributed to lower costs. In fact, the data show that Trump's tariffs are a regressive tax on Americans and that we are footing over 90% of the tariff bill. As oil prices rise, Trump supporters will go to great lengths to either deny Trump's DIRECT involvement, pin it on his predecessors, or claim that this is all part of his "master plan." Trump's poor planning and his decision to go to war in the first place are undeniably affecting gas prices. For once, Trump's policies are having a measurable impact on the price at the pump. Go figure? Worse yet, we've been indiscriminately bombing noncombatants, children, schools, hospitals, heritage sites and civilian infrastructure. We're radicalizing more and more enemies against us. Us troops are DEAD. We managed to replace the dying Ayatollah with his more hardline son who has deep connections and sway with the IRGC. Residents of Iran are terrified as bombings intensify and as strikes draw closer to their neighborhoods. Trump's messaging is inconsistent and his administration continues to lie about the pretext for this war. An open ended war. A war that ignores lessons about what happens when the US tries "regime change" in the Middle East. An illegal war conducted under FALSE PRETENSES, with no support from Americans, and a conflict that was always one of choice. For what? The US hasn't accomplished any of its constantly shifting "objectives." Hell, most Americans don't even know why we're at war in the first place!

@defense_civil25 America is fighting for Israel and they know it. The War has nothing to do with America. Israel wants to destroy Iran's missile capacity after the 12 days War and they invite America.
