Epics handling of the Russia situation is careless, unempathetic and straight up wrong. Putrick qualified Major 2 Grand Finals and according to him HAS BEEN PAID OUT for that tournament. That means Epic could have given him forewarnings by doing their due diligence and disqualifying him at that point for his current situation. He could have then CHANGED that discrepancy to make it align with whatever allows him to qualify for Copenhagen (similar to Malibuca's situation). If Epic actually did their job and disqualified players appropriately in PREVIOUS SEASONS, he would have not lost out on $200,000 and the biggest tournament opportunity of his career. Obviously something in Putricks banking or account details relates back to something in Russia, which puts him in the "wrong." BUT he wouldn't even know that was the case because everything UP UNTIL THIS CURRENT MOMENT was assumed to be okay because it was left unchecked. The blatant disregard for any sort of competitive integrity has gone on for way too long. It's actual insanity and unethical.
