@jtworr But, won't the oil and gas be sold on the international markets at the international price by the private companies that own the licences? Maybe we could ask them nicely to let us have it at a reduced price...?

@jtworr It takes between 4 and 10 years to explore and develop onshore oil or gas. Hardly the answer to the current crisis. If produced would not be sold at a discount so would match the market price. So another stupid ‘answer’ that solves nothing.

...been kept secret yet recent storm damage proves erosion & flooding threats are real & immediate. We need a full, public assessment of these defences now to guarantee that the plant & its 3,900 tonnes of spent fuel remain safe from extreme sea-level rise till the late 2100s 2/2
