Honestly, it’s great news that they’re finally removing timed finishing from FIFA. That mechanic made the game feel more like Parappa the Rapper or Guitar Hero than actual football. It had no place in a football sim,the point of the game should be about building up play and scoring goals, not hitting green bars on perfect timing. And since they’re making that change toward realism, I really think they should also rethink the inclusion of women in Ultimate Team on the same field as men. I’m not saying women shouldn’t be in the game,but mixing male and female pros in the same squad, same matches, same packs… it breaks the realism completely. It’s just not something that happens in real-life football. A better approach, in my opinion, would be to create a separate Ultimate Team mode,one for the men’s teams and one for the women’s. That way, people who want to play with women’s teams can enjoy that experience, and those who want to stick with men’s football for a more traditional sim can do that too. Because honestly, when you start bending realism like that, you might as well go all in and add Spider-Man, Batman, or Goku. Just turn FIFA into Fortnite, throw in every franchise imaginable, and forget the idea of a serious simulation altogether. That’s where I’m coming from,I just want the game to stay grounded in the sport it’s trying to represent.
