@michtrack@runfardvs Long Jump was much better when we were limited to 3 running events and 1 field event. Now we can do 4 running events. As coach I prefer to not have my top sprinters long jump As a former long jumper myself, I know the toll the long jump can take in the form of injuries.
@runfardvs The 4x2 was our only relay from the 1920s to 1961, a MI fave. But the argument can definitely be made that our speed kids are spread too thin among too many events. That's got to be one of the reasons behind the decline of the long jump in this state.
