Always love to see the different designs of glassware and crockery from the Northern Lighthouse Board. Some for presentation as retirement gifts others for use when the commissioners visited the lighthouses. These brown bowls are apparently one of the early patterns.

Interesting to see a wax seal (apparently the seal of skerryvore works) on these two envelopes being sent to Thomas Stevenson. 1844 to Baxters Place 1845 to George Street Edinburgh. I wonder who has written the information inside?

Anyone else came across nautical spoons like these?

Our colleagues at the @FNL_Trust finished off #InvasiveSpeciesWeek with a guided walk for a local Scottish Wildlife Trust group. A great day out including an electrofishing and fish species demonstration, invertebrate sampling and a talk on #INNS control from our very own Elise.
