Another study showed that laughter was higher with women than men. Whatโs interesting is they found that both men and women were more ticklish when the opposite sex tickled them compared to the same sex tickling them.

Even if ticklishness is mostly involuntary, I doubt the study tickled people into real helplessness. Many people can hide their ticklishness briefly, especially when trying to present a certain way!
