The Premier League is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Derek Fraser. The whole game benefited from Derek’s work which spanned more than 20 years of service as head of the Independent Football Commission and the Independent Football Ombudsman.

The EFL is saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Derek Fraser, a distinguished figure who served as head of both the Independent Football Commission (IFC) from 2001 to 2008, and Independent Football Ombudsman (IFO) until 2022, devoting over 20 years to the game. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with him. #EFL

We at the Independent Football Ombudsman (IFO) are deeply saddened by the passing of Professor Derek Fraser, who led both the Independent Football Commission and the IFO for over 20 years. He championed the fan’s voice with integrity and dedication. He will be greatly missed.

@TheTone82 @themagic_tophat @clivepafc @FA_PGMOL Hi Tony, On-field matters (including refereeing, VAR etc) are outside of the IFO's remit, so that's not something that we can look at.

I agree with @clivepafc That irked Taylor and we paid for it the rest of the game. My biggest problem with Arteta is that he doesn’t take @FA_PGMOL to task in the right way. He and the staff are petulant with them when he should be laying out the facts, cooly and in public. There are more than enough data points to flip the pressure onto them now.

@FootballOmbuds Its might as well be closed all year given the bias you show towards the nations clubs. You might want to reconsider using independent people on your advisory committee too,rather than those who've targeted supporters in their previous club roles.
