@mediocentr0 His only flaw was that he was too sound technically and tactically and had fewer flashy skills compared to the best of their time: Suarez. In terms of efficiency and output, he was as good or even better than Suarez.

Lewandowski no doubt had an amazing career, elite/world class for many years. He was not at the level of the upper echelon centre forwards of the last 30-40 years though. Not a player that made you dream.

@KalshiFC @FabrizioRomano Not a great squad unless you're talking about the attackers. Average full-backs, average or worn-out midfield. I don't know what's the hype about France for WC 2026!

@Israel_katz Yes, as you said, all "great and respected clubs like @FCBarcelona " must stand against Israel's genocide in Palestine. Lamine Yamal is a champion footballer and an even better human being for standing with Palestine in this hard time.

@kevvwill No, his passes werentshprt and safe only; he attempted many through passes to the midfielders and the 10. His passing is more like Gerard Martin's. I was surprised at the quality of his passing but then he comes from La Masia.

Soooo ... because I haven't pissed anyone off yet today, if you watch Cortes, a player we are all getting excited about and would like to see more of, he essentially is the same kind of defender as Araujo, right down to the short, safe passes out of the back. (Sorry.)

@0panaa_1 The country represented by the boy who has magic in his left foot, is brought up in La Masia, and has 11 letters in his name. Lamine Yamal (11 letters) Lionel Messi ( . . . Letters)

@icemansal786 @A_M_R_M1 Why not Barca? This club has literally stood against Franco's dictatorship in Spain, against the usurpation of the Catalans' rights, allowwd its players to voice their aupport for an issue as Israel-hijacked as Palestine.

🚨 The journalist: “What do you think about Lamine Yamal’s actions yesterday during FC Barcelona’s league title celebrations, and should a player avoid interfering in matters unrelated to football?” Pep Guardiola: “And should you also avoid interfering in things that are not your specialty? You are here to ask me about tomorrow’s match against Crystal Palace F.C.. Despite that, I will answer your question..... A football player is a role model followed by millions, and his opinion is influential, so he should express his opinion when necessary. What would you do if you found your wife and children under the rubble of homes like them there? Would you come here to the press conference to talk about a player wearing a shirt and running after a ball?? Of course not!! You do not choose the topics we want to talk about, so those are things outside your specialty. Lamine’s stance is something he should be proud of — he has now become the talk of the world.”

@AdiiiFCB I am sure the dead want us to be happy. And, strangely, it's the living that want us to be sad.

@AdiiiFCB Also, if he mourns & doesn't come out of his grief for a week, does it bring his father back? Does merry-making as he is doing in the pic make him any less of a loving and loyal son to his deceased father? Would his father want him to mourn his demise forever or get on with life?

I don't mean to criticize Flick but imagine you're of South Asian / Arab culture, your father dies and the next day you're enjoying a bus parade drinking beer and enjoying instead of visiting your home city

@AdiiiFCB That's why South Asian/Arab societies are where they are. When someone close dies, what should you purpose be: to mitigate the severity of sorrow you're experiencing? Or to extend it forever? Surely the former. That's what Flick is doing. What's wrong with that?

@Kaypoisson1 100%. Neither should Ferran be a reliable first-choice 9. Neither Olmo an automatic 10 on the team sheet. This mediocrity should be let go if Barca are to compete with the very best football teams, of which this Madrid team is not one.

@BCNOgi For me, he has been the best winger since Euro 2021. Can go either way with ease, crusing acceleration from standing point, world-class strength and agility, second-to-none carrier of the ball, lately a fantastic passer as well. The best in the world in his position.

1. Gordon – he’s very direct and a pressing machine coming from the physical league, intensity will not be an issue for him. 2. Barcola – very skillful winger like Yamal, very rapid and can replicate a bit of what Yamal does on the other wing. 3. Leao – good winger overall and can dribble, I only question his commitment and willingness to work 4. Diomande – another very good and skillful touchline winger, impressive on the ball and strong as well, but Leipzig are well known for scamming top clubs

Regardless of the price, who’s your favourite LW option for Barça this summer? (Doesn’t have to be anyone shown here)

I just wish & pray that Flick gets these 4 signings: 1. A CB--fast, strong, & ball-playing 2. A RB--fast, strong, & specialist RB 3. A LWinger--fast, two-way, skilful, & shooter 4. A 9--elite link-up & finishing Just for once, & then we'll see who is made of what. #transfers

One of the best things that happened this season was the broken relationship between Barca and Atleti. No longer are they going to s*ck each other off. Atleti actually takes beating Barca seriously nowadays. Atleti lowkey hate Barca more than they hate Real Madrid these days.
