Warning signs for Arsenal. Arteta and Berta need to keep the squad as strong as possible to avoid any of the key players suffering long-term injuries. Basically, they need to continue the same approach they used last summer: quality squad depth over blowing the budget on one or two players.

🚨The players union have raised concerns over professional footballers’ workload Arsenal played 62 competitive matches in all competitions…now 14 of their players will also be going to the World Cup

Morgan Rogers’ most underrated attribute is his creative passing. People think he’s just a ball carrier, but he’s way more than that. Of course, ball carrying is his best attribute, but he’s also a top passer of the ball from any zone, angle, and range. He has an eye for a pass, the vision to spot runners, and the ability to execute perfectly weighted through balls. If you sign Rogers, you’re essentially getting a ball-carrying, creative-passing, and elite ball-striking LW/AM hybrid all in one player.

Morgan Rogers is one of those attackers where you don’t question where he wants to play, you just sign him first and let the rest figure itself out. When PSG were stockpiling some of the best left wingers in the world, nobody was asking how they planned to use them.
The Football Era@Footballera0

Rogers can be Arsenal’s Kvaratskhelia. Rogers profiles as a ball-to-feet, carrier/dribbler LW/AM hybrid who is comfortable operating inside or starting from wide areas and carrying the ball into the halfspaces to either shoot or create, similar Kvara.

Not sure the club will do Barcola plus Rogers. That’s too many left hand side heavy attackers, especially when you add Eze to that. Think it’s going to be either/or, not both unless Nelli and Trossard leaves. I think it’s gonna be Kroupi + Rogers + Fernandes/Bouaddi + a RB if Ben White leaves. I also think Kepa stays. Mikel will probably want to keep his Spanish core.

I still find it crazy that both Stan and Josh Kroenke sat on the pitch alongside the players and staffs to take a picture with the Premier League trophy. They’ve locked in with this club differently.

@themagic_tophat This. Aside from the aerial ability, there are quite a few reasons why I prefer Kroupi over Álvarez. The finances involved and the age difference are two major factors.

@Footballera0 We very clearly want fluidity in attack. Rogers suits that. As does Alvarez/Kroupi. I have a strong preference for Kroupi but adding Rogers means you can add Alvarez and not worry too much about the lack of aerial ability.

No. This isn’t it. A front 4 consisting of players who all want the ball to feet and prefer receiving BTL in a UCL final against the most devastating transition team in the world, a team known for stretching every area of the pitch, is a big NO. This lineup means Arsenal will have zero transition threat because there’s no runner in the attack. A similar setup was used against a relegated Burnley side and it didn’t work. Stick to the formula that got you through Atletico in the semis, Fulham, and Westham. That’s the perfect balance. Gyokeres up top.

Despite the fact that he lost form in the second half of the season and his quality dropped drastically, this is still commendable, I have to say. He played his role in the title win. Got used like a bar of soap until there was nothing left.

Transfer ban not enough, relegate them to the championship. This is how you preserve the sporting integrity of the league and keep every club in check. 115 financial breach allegation is no joke.

The irony of a Chelsea fan tweeting this when they were the first small club to get roided up with Russian oligarch blood money, and suddenly started punching above their weight, competing with actual big clubs for top players and trophies. At least Brentford climbed up the ladder legally without state funding.
🍁@OlIyCFC

Brentford should not be able to spend £40m on a 19 year old from Bundesliga, it’s absolutely ridiculous. The competitive balance of European football is totally destroyed.

Their fitness still won’t be enough to stop Arsenal from winning that UCL, it is sealed. An Arsenal side coming off the high spirits and morale boost of winning the toughest league in the world, Premier League, will be absolutely unstoppable. I see Arsenal players playing like they’re possessed on Saturday. They will do everything possible to make history by winning the club it’s first UCL trophy.
