HAPPENING NOW: First responders on scene of multi-vehicle crash in downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee, a popular tourist town. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation.

@Breaking911 This happened several hours ago at about 16:10 EST. All patients have been transported and the scene is being investigated

@CBWGaTiger @Ginalilvol It was accidental, cause is under investigation but it appears the driver that caused it suffered a medical emergency.

@Ginalilvol Yeah, at first glance, I wouldn't look at Gatlinburg and immediately assume it would be a hotbed for terrorist activity.

@ThodenWX There were multiple pedestrians with severe injuries and multi-system trauma. The accident is absolutely devastating and brutal. Prayers to all involved.

@BreaPD Per SCE, Carbon Canyon power was shut-off for public safety due to the fire danger in the area. They have the estimated time of restoration as 6PM tomorrow "or when conditions improve".

Power Outage at Carbon Canyon East of Santa Fe to the County Line Edison is aware is working on this issue. No estimated time for power to be restored. #breapd

@HeliSlacker 100% especially from the blue fire too, they don't seem to have an immediate need for all the resources they have overhead. Life safety threat is greatest in Riverside and they definitely need the tankers.

A structure fire call actually got dispatched about 10 minutes after the water rescue and they used 2N, which had been available the entire time.

The 1st steady round of moderate rain and heavy mtn snow is now moving through eastern IE&SD county. Unlike our last cold front this one actually strengthened heading SE of LA so expect amounts to be better in those areas. Heavy snow has been falling above 5000ft with the western Big Bear region the most favored position for this event, already about 3+" for those areas. As daytime heating and some clearing arrives this morning the Low itself will move over the region this afternoon and evening. This should fire off Thunderstorms between 11am-4pm with snow levels nearing 4000ft in Northern areas. Another 1-3" of snow mat fall during that time. Next extremely cold storm expected this weekend could bring snow to areas below 3000ft, including our high Deserts! #CAwx #SoCalwx #Rain #Snow #ElNino
