@bigjameslfc It's not quite that simple. That is part of the rule, but they have to be able to link the two. It's a lot more nuanced than any two deals within that period are instantly seen as a swap.

@FootieWriter I get that, but didn’t they make a rule that deals completed within 45 days of each other would count as a swap deal in terms of how they are looked at in the accounts. I’m sure Villa need all the profit they can from that deal

@bigjameslfc Sorry I didn't mean they'd loan him, I just meant there's other ways. Also, don't forget because of amortisation they're not hit for the whole lot right away.

@FootieWriter Garnacho worked because he’s loan to buy. But that would mean Jackson couldn’t do the same as you can’t loan 2 players of the same team I’m sure they will find a way but just thought it was interesting how they can do it

I have one word: why? It’s not money. It’s not historical standing. It’s not the level of competition. Turkey has the NINTH-best league in Europe according to UEFA’s coefficient rankings. Trabzonspor haven’t won the league since 2021/22. They’re in the Europa League qualifiers and have to get through a playoff still. £140k a week is comparatively decent, but Salah could earn three or four times that in Saudi Arabia. If they land him it'd be a monumental coup. But, why Trabzonspor?

If Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Vinícius Jr, then: 1) Real Madrid gave them permission (they haven't) 2) Arsenal have tapped him up (they haven't) Then to say Roc Nation are going to use this as leverage quoting the #AFC offer? If they actually did that then they'd be breaking ALL THE RULES. Look, I know Hand of Arsenal is highly regarded, but I'm going to give you a bit of insight RE the story. Why? If it happens, he's a genius. If it doesn't, he actually hasn't said the move is happening. It’s an extremely well-insured prediction with very little reputational risk. #RMCF #ViniJr
