@nocontextfm1 Please don't judge Chelsea fans on CFCDaily. It's like judging all Arsenal fans on DT.

@kracha17475049 Hate to break it to you, but every manager, even head coaches rebuild their system. So every time a new manager comes in you're rebuilding again.

What rebuild are you talking about? We’re 5 years into the rebuild phase, and without CL money, we’ll be the ones shopping in the bargain bin. Clownlake PR works again.

I think I’ve made peace with Enzo Fernández leaving #CFC. Look, I don't want him gone. I think he's an elite level player. On his day, he's a match winner and those are few and far between at Chelsea. However, when a player starts flirting with the idea of leaving, something changes. You can forgive it, but you don’t really forget it. If Real Madrid or Manchester City genuinely want him, then the price has to be ridiculous. These aren’t clubs shopping in the bargain bin. #RMCF and #MCFC are two of the richest clubs in world football. If they want him they can pay like it. This next Chelsea rebuild under Xabi Alonso cannot be built on half-commitment. It can’t be another cycle of talented players, mixed messages and “maybe this project works, maybe it doesn’t”. We need players who are all in. Enzo is a top player. I’d rather keep him than lose him. But he’s no longer in that untouchable category for me. Not after the season we’ve had. Not after the comments. Not when the whole club needs a reset. Sell only if the fee is huge. Replace properly. Move on. I have to say though, this report is in conflict with reports from Spain who list Enzo as 'untouchable' under Alonso, but if I had to put my money on it I'd say the below is more likely. #ChelseaFC #EnzoFernandez #Chelsea #TransferNews

@FootieWriter I don’t see the elite level player. Maybe I’m in a minority, but I honestly look at other clubs, many smaller than Chelsea and envy their midfield output far more. It’s a good scenario. Enzo leaves, big money comes in, we build around decent people.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE - Enzo Fernandez is likely to depart #Chelsea this summer. Contract negotiations have failed to progress and the player feels disappointed with “things being done to make him leave” Barring a huge turnaround, he will play his FINAL match this weekend. #CFC

@FootieWriter 6-7 years on his contract and y’all are scared. If he should go it’ll be for big bucks which is good tbh

@akajimalo @TobiasCFC He said: “I’d like to live in Spain. I really like Madrid; it reminds me of Buenos Aires. Players live where they want. I’d live in Madrid…” Players live where they want. He wasn't talking about post retirement was he?

@TobiasCFC You’re arguing my point for me. Drogba would’ve been remembered differently if he left then, but he didn’t. He stayed and became a Chelsea legend. If Enzo does the same, I’ll change my view. Until then, comparing his credit in the bank to Drogba’s is madness.

@FootieWriter That is the biggest case of rose tintet glasses. Had Drogba left in the time he said this, you would remember him just as you want to remember Enzo now. If the Chelsea board backed and actual went serious Enzo would stay and you would fold like people did back on Drogba

@RogEV12 This is a massive false equivalence. Lampard didn’t spend months flirting with Barcelona or briefing that he wanted out. Barcelona were interested, his Chelsea contract dragged, and the press filled the gaps. That is not the same.

@FootieWriter People either have no memory or are too young to remember that Lampard, in the mid-2000s, flirted with signing for Barcelona, back when he was in a relationship with a Spanish woman. In the end, he renewed his contract, and the rest is history.

@TobiasCFC I’ll take the Drogba correction. He did say it. Difference is Drogba had already built credit and then spent years repaying it with trophies, finals and legendary moments. Enzo hasn’t earned Drogba-level forgiveness for Drogba-level comments. That’s the point.

@FootieWriter You’re joking right? Drogba went to an interview and said he wanted to leave Chelsea since the day he joined and every season after trying to force his exit??? 😭😭😭 How long you been a Chelsea fan?

@Lonelyfire I hope so to, in fact, my second sentence was "I don't want him gone," it just would no longer be devastating to me and it would have been 12 months ago. I would not be happy about it.

@FootieWriter Hopefully that guy is Enzo because I have a feeling that losing him is going to be orders of magnitude worse than losing De Bruyne or Salah. I doubt either would have become the players they were had they stayed. Enzo is already that guy.

@Lonelyfire I agree. IF we sell him it shouldn't be without a replacement in kind and that guy should suit Alonso.

@FootieWriter Perhaps, I did say Caicedo is significantly better but the point, that im not doing a very good job of articulating, is that we have no one to step in for Enzo. He’s the engine room of the midfield and we don’t have anyone else that can do what he does.

@TobiasCFC First, I never said I hated him. Second, when did Terry, Lampard or Drogba jump on a stream and say they wanted to go to other clubs?

@FootieWriter That was taken completely out of context though. He said like any footballer does that “oh yeah playing for madrid would be nice” to keep the door open? Putting pressure on the board is never bad. You hate Terry, Lampard, Drogba etc for entertaining other clubs then yeah?

@Lonelyfire I couldn't disagree with that message any more. Caicedo would be a significant loss and a Lavia or Santos replacement would be a huge drop in quality.

@FootieWriter If Caicedo is injured and Lavia or Santos play are we materially worse off? It would be a blow as. Caicedo is significantly better but we would manage. If Enzo doesn’t play we have a massive void in the squad. Hopefully Alonso sees his importance and makes him feel loved.

@FootieWriter Creo que a un jugador de élite vos le tenes q ofrecer proyecto y posición económica. El Chelsea no le ofrece proyecto y aparentemente tampoco lo seduce por lo económico (que es lo q podría equilibrar la balanza)

@Lonelyfire I'm not saying he shouldn't be replaced though. I actually said he should. Also, I'd disagree on saying we have Santos to replace Caicedo and Lavia is injury prone.

@FootieWriter If Caicedo left we have Lavia and Santos, if Palmer left we have Neto, Paez, Estevao and even Derry who can try and fill in. If we lose Enzo we have absolutely no one that can do what he does.

@TobiasCFC I'm sorry but if you think going on streams and talking about leaving to go to other clubs is that standard we should set then we fundamentally disagree on what it means to be somebody who loves the club.

@FootieWriter Horrible take. Enzo has standards, wants Chelsea to compete and is one of the only ones to ACTIVELY TRYING. Of course he is gonna get sick of this Chelsea we’ve become. When players like him leaves. It shows clear intention from high up they dont care. Dont blame Enzo.

I agree. I did say in the message they'd have to pay through the roof for him. I wouldn't be accepting pennies on the dollar and nor do we need to with the length of his contract. Second, maybe (although I'd argue it's Caicedo), but that'll change if he's unhappy at being denied a move.

@FootieWriter There are two problems, firstly he cost us so much money that even though he’s 10 times the player he was when he arrived we are unlikely to get much of a profit on his sale as he’s near the ceiling of what clubs can or are willing to pay. Second, he’s our most important player.

@Lonelyfire I think the fact we have spent that money and a lot of it has been 'wasted' means that if a club throws money at him he's not irreplicable. Especially if he decides he wants to leave. Player power is more prominent than ever. Remember, if he wants to stay, great!

@FootieWriter Kristian, this can’t be the narrative! Clearlake have spent well over £1bn on players and in that haul they’ve only signed 3 world class players (Enzo, Palmer and Caicedo, Estevao might be one day) that’s a terrible success rate. Enzo is irreplaceable. We need to build around him

@FootieWriter Agree, if we selling its over what we purchased him for hands down. Do a swap & xSh for Tchouameni at Madrid. That guy gives Alonso not only his 2nd six next to caicdeo but someone he knows & let’s be honest is an elite performer
