The incident occurred on Monday afternoon in the New Agra area. According to reports, the husband, a silver trader, had grown suspicious of his wife's activities and had been keeping a close watch on her movements. He alleged that his wife left home around 3 pm after telling the family she was stepping out for work related to their daughter. Instead, he claimed, she went directly to a guest house where her alleged boyfriend was waiting. The husband reportedly followed her to the location and confronted the pair after seeing them enter a room together. The husband is heard alleging that his wife had earlier filed a domestic violence case against him to conceal her alleged relationship. He claimed she had been making false accusations against him. According to New Agra Station House Officer Nishamak Tyagi, discussions continued for nearly three hours before the husband and wife agreed to settle the matter. No further legal action was reported following the compromise. WHY ARE MORE AND MORE WOMEN GETTING INDULGED IN EXTRA MARITAL AFFAIRS & FILING FALSE CASES AGAINST HUSBANDS? Ketan Agarwal was allegedly murdered at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18 by his fiancée, Siya, and her friend and lover, Chetan Babulal Chaudhary. The investigation into the case is currently underway. Now, the victim's mother, Rakhi Agarwal, wrote in her letter, “I never imagined that I would have to write to you seeking justice for my own son. Like every mother, I dreamt of watching Ketan build a beautiful life, get married, and grow old with us. Instead, I had to perform the last rites of my child.” “My son was brutally murdered, and with him, meri poori duniya chali gayi (My whole world is gone). Every corner of our home reminds me of him. His room, his clothes, his photographs, and the silence that has replaced his laughter remind me every day that he will never come back."  “Our family suffered another heartbreaking loss when my father-in-law passed away just twenty days after Ketan's death. He loved Ketan dearly and could not bear the grief of losing his grandson. Within days, our family lost two generations,” she added in the letter. Urging the Prime Minister to ensure that the case does not get lost in bureaucratic delays, Rakhi Agarwal made a plea for the legal process to be expedited. “Please do not let Ketan become just another case file. He was someone's son, someone's grandson, someone's brother, but to me, woh meri poori duniya tha" The mother concluded her letter with a vow to keep fighting for her son. #formenindia

A 22-year-old B.A. student from Begusarai was abducted and forcefully married in a classic Pakadua Vivah (forced marriage). He was lured to home, held at gunpoint, and threatened with death until he applied vermilion (sindoor) to the forehead of a 34-year-old mother of one. Nitish Kumarb is a resident of Khagaria district and a B.A. student at G.D. College in Begusarai. Sita Devi, a 34-year-old woman residing in Hathidah, who is already a mother. Nitish stated he went to drop the woman home after meeting her at college. He claims her family offered him shelter for the night, but late in the evening, 10 armed men held him hostage and coerced him into the marriage. Nitish then managed to reach the Patna Civil Court (Barh) to file a petition against the forced union. However, the woman denied the allegations and said she was in a relationship with him. But, the groom says that he was in a relationship with the woman's sister and wanted to marry her but he was forced into marrying Sita. The Hathidah Police Station counselled both individuals, following which the bride, Sita, was sent with the groom, Nitish, to his home in Chautham, Khagaria district. Pakadwa Vivah is a practice of forced marriage by abduction, primarily reported in parts of Bihar and some neighboring regions of India. In this practice, a man is allegedly kidnapped or coerced and then forcibly married to a woman, often to avoid paying a dowry or due to family pressure. In November 2023, the Patna HC declared the marriage null and void under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, stating that a traditional marriage requires the completion of saptapadi (seven vows around the sacred fire). HOWEVER, THE PRACTICE IS STILL FOLLOWED. #formenidia

In a tragic incident in Saveriyarpuram near Pudukottai (Tuticorin district), Tamil Nadu, a 45-year-old lorry driver, Maria Michael, electrocuted his two minor children before ending his own life. According to police, Michael’s wife had left the family about six months ago and was reportedly living with another man. This had left Michael depressed, following which he stopped going for work regularly as a truck driver. Instead, he took up painting jobs occasionally. On Friday (10 july), Michael reportedly brought food for the children and asked them to go to sleep. Police said he later tied electrical wires to the children and connected them to a power source before killing himself with the same wire. His 75-year-old father, Anthony Muthu, who lives with the family, was sleeping outside the room. When the door remained locked till noon on Saturday, he alerted neighbours, who informed Pudukottai police. Police, who broke open the door, found the three lying dead on a cot with electric wires bound to their bodies. Pudukottai police have registered a case and are investigating. #formenidia

A 23-year-old woman from Jaipur murdered her own mother for a government job and property. And she showed no remorse or fear after the crime. Her maternal uncle claims she k*lled her father too. BUT WHY DIDN'T ANY FEMINIST RAISE CONCERN FOR WOMEN SAFETY IN THIS CASE? If justice is truly gender-neutral, crimes committed by women should receive the same outrage and condemnation as those committed by men. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS? A shocking case from Uttar Pradesh's Agra district has come to light. According to the FIR, the alleged incident took place at around 3 pm on July 9, when Ravindra allegedly mixed a poisonous substance into a chole dish and served it to his mother, Rammoorti. After eating the food, the woman fell seriously ill and was rushed to hospital, where she is undergoing treatment. The complaint was lodged by the victim's husband, Ranveer Singh. According to the FIR, Ravindra allegedly told his father that the poisonous substance had been given to him by his mother-in-law, Phoolwati. The complaint alleges that Phoolwati had called him to Gatpura village and handed him a packet containing poison, allegedly telling him that her daughter would return to live with him only if he "removed" his mother. These allegations form part of the FIR and are yet to be established through the police investigation. The accused's brother, Mukesh, claimed the family had recently been embroiled in a dispute over a piece of land. He alleged that Ravindra's wife had been staying at her parental home and that her mother had made the woman's return conditional on poisoning his own mother. Mukesh alleged that Ravindra later mixed poison into a serving of chole and gave it to their mother. #formenidia

A video showing a government primary school headmistress hitting a student's guardian with her shoe in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district has gone viral on social media, triggering an official inquiry. The dispute began when the student's guardian, identified as Anuj, visited the school to obtain a Transfer Certificate for the child. The headmistress, Anita Devi, is heard insisting that the child and the Aadhaar card be brought to the school before the certificate can be processed. The guardian, however, says that he had already submitted the Aadhaar card, leading to a verbal exchange between the two. As the confrontation continues, the headmistress is seen confronting the guardian while another person records the incident on a mobile phone. During the exchange, the guardian can be heard saying that he had already provided the Aadhaar card. Reports suggest the headmistress became upset after noticing that the altercation was being filmed. She allegedly snatched the guardian's mobile phone and threw it to the ground. As the man attempted to retrieve the device, a scuffle reportedly broke out, during which the headmistress fell. Moments later, she is seen in the video removing her footwear and repeatedly striking the guardian as bystanders look on. Basic Education Officer Kamlendra Kushwaha confirmed that the viral video is from Tika Ka Pura Primary School in Muratganj block and said the matter has been referred to the Block Education Officer for an inquiry. IMAGINE BEING A HEADMISTRESS YET UNCIVILIZED!! #formenindia

The Delhi High Court has observed that an “emerging trend” appears to be developing in matrimonial disputes where complainants invoke allegations of rape, molestation and other sexual offences to pressure in-laws into hefty settlements. The court was hearing a petition filed by the two brothers-in-law, seeking quashing of an FIR registered at Sangam Vihar Police Station . The petitioners contended that the criminal case was filed out of vengeance after the complainant’s husband instituted divorce proceedings in September 2023. During the hearing, the court remarked that following the Supreme Court’s judgment in Arnesh Kumar v State of Bihar (2014), which curtailed automatic arrests in matrimonial dispute cases, “a trend is setting in where the complainants have started alleging such serious charges of rape, molestation and similar other sexual misconduct only to ensure that the in-laws of the complainant are compelled to settle the matrimonial disputes by paying hefty amounts”. In order to prevent the abuse, the court directed that the ongoing proceedings before the trial court should remain stayed until the next date of hearing. #formenidia #Divorce

The Allahabad High Court (Justice Praveen Kumar Giri) directed the Jhansi Family Court to explain why it ordered a man to pay ₹10,000 monthly maintenance to his ex-wife, despite her officially disclosed remarriage. The husband continues to pay ₹5,000 monthly for their minor son, which he does not contest. Justice Praveen Kumar Giri was hearing a revision petition filed by the man challenging the order of the family court, directing him to pay Rs 10,000 per month as maintenance to his former wife. In its order dated July 7, the high court issued notice to the wife and fixed July 21 as the next date of hearing. The court also directed additional principal judge Harish Chandra to explain why he passed the maintenance order despite the wife’s second marriage having been disclosed in her objection dated Oct 30, 2025. “The woman’s second marriage was disclosed by her in an affidavit. However, despite such disclosure, the family court directed the man to pay Rs 10,000 per month to the wife and Rs 5,000 per month to their son. Under the law, a wife is not entitled to maintenance after remarriage,” the husband’s counsel submitted. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS? COMMENT YOUR OPINIONS #formenidia

Nida Khan, an employee of the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) who was terminated after being named in the religious conversion case at the IT firm's unit in Maharashtra's Nashik, is 5 months pregnant & has been granted bail. The court observed that the trauma of giving birth in prison is unbearable for any woman, drawing a comparison with the circumstances surrounding the birth of Lord Krishna. "The trauma of giving birth in a prison like Lord Krishna or the related social stigma is not bearable for anyone," said additional Sessions Judge (Nashik Road court) KG Joshi. He said that keeping the pregnant applicant detained would serve no purpose as the investigation was complete and the charge sheet had been filed. Nida Khan was arrested on May 7 from a rented flat in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in central Maharashtra after being on the run for nearly 25 days. Khan, who had sought bail primarily on the ground that she was pregnant, got the relief by a local court in Nashik on July 6. Besides her pregnancy, Khan's lawyer, Rahul Kasliwal, claimed that she was innocent and had been falsely implicated. He submitted that Khan was highly educated and was previously employed as an "associate" at TCS before being terminated in April. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT HER BAIL?
