What better day to visit Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre than Bringyourdogtoworkday. As Town Mayor, I've chosen to support the Centre as my charity this year. DBARC are looking for volunteers (over 16) who can help at the Centre-please get in touch Centre directly.

What an evening. WTC presented another FREE concert in Broad Street, they even managed the weather. Another phenomenal event where Wokingham came together to enjoy music from around the Borough.Thank you to all businesses and organisers.Not least the Town Council team! Thank you

A busy Easter, finalising the Student on @Wokingham_TC @wokingham_co_uk Town Council Commitees. @TheHoltSchool , @ForestWinnersh @EmmbrookSchool all schools entered excellent candidates, interview info being sent today. Well done all.

Monday was indeed a sad and moving day. The Civic Funeral for Honorary Alderman, Bob Wyatt. I can only aspire to be as successful as him, a really hard act to follow. @Wokingham_TC and Wokingham residents were served extremely well by Bob. I am honoured to have known him.

Friday saw the close for the applications for Students on WTC Committees. Outstanding applications - well done to the students from Holt, Forest, Emmbrook and St Crispin's. Now to evaluate them, interviews after the Easter Break. Well Done All - thank you

Sad news for the town. Honorary Alderman, long serving Councillor & Past Mayor, Robert (Bob) Wyatt, sadly passed away at the age of 87 on Wednesday 27th March 2019. Please go to our FB page for more information & photos. #Wokingham

These schools join St Crispins @crispinsschool who were also very supportive of students being on WTC Committees. This means we have 4 excellent schools applying to for places on committees, so they can have a voice to shape Wokingham for the future.

Meetings with Mr O'Neill Head at Emmbrook @EmmbrookSchool. Another with the Heads at @TheHoltSchool Mrs Pearce and Mrs Kennedy, and yesterday with Mrs Austin from @ForestWinnersh All highly supportive of Students on WTC Committees, next week sees the student submissions.

18-Mar meeting @WokinghamBC to get them to come on board with @Wokingham_TC & agree to have students move from Town Council to Borough Council. Give them a voice in Wokinghams future, understand local gov & onward to student MP organised by the Wokingham Schools Federation.

4th met with St Crispins Mrs Bennetts to discuss students attending Town Council meetings. Mrs Bennetts will take the idea to the School Council and come back to me with suggested list of candidates. @CrispinsSchool @WokinghamBC @Wokingham_TC

5th March saw the presentation of a £1000 cheque to the Graffiti and Eradication team at Emmbrook Senior school as they won this years competition. They are now presenting their project to schools and clubs in the area. @EmmbrookSchool @WokinghamBC @Wokingham_TC
