@Collider Also they treated the spin-offs like movies from the early 2000s or something. You couldn't give us a cool old school gothic vampire movie with Morbius? Nope. Instead it is more like a generic superhero origin story from those dark ages, but not in a cool way.

The biggest issue was that the universe leaned too heavily on villain spin-offs without #SpiderMan, lacking the connectivity and strong foundation that made the #MCU work. Now, the path forward seems clear: focus on actual Spider-heroes like Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, or Spider-Man 2099, instead of forcing obscure villains into lead roles.
