2018 Ford Kuga under 50k miles, engine failure due to oil loss. No warning message/light, no leak. Car well maintained and oil checked recently, so unclear how this happened.

@forduk Any news on the recall for the Kuga phev charging issue? Coming up to holiday season and I’m worried about driving the car any distance incase of fire. Is there any compensation on offer?

I’ve had enough. 10 weeks in and this is getting worse, not better. Bought a Ford Explorer Extended Range RWD in Jan 2026 and the battery has been nothing short of dismal.
Today: Barnsley → Cleethorpes → Barnsley (145 miles total). Started at 100% / 303-mile range… got back on 1% 12 miles left. No lights, no heating, nothing. 291 miles off the range for a 145 mile journey. Something isn’t right
This is unacceptable—I can’t live with this for 3 years. Not happy at all. How do I get out of this car??

I hate the fact that there are no good @forduk dealerships near me. I’ve been to the two closest in Newcastle and Durham and the customer service is atrocious.. I love the brand. Love the cars hate the customer service.

@forduk my Ford focus had the same fault people were compensated for in the past. How do I claim as this car is still classed as reliable but it will cost thousands to fix which is a known fault! ???

@forduk hey folks. How do i go about claiming the goodwill gesture for recall 25SC4, to not charge Kuga Phev above 80%? As a high mileage driver, it'll have a significant increase in fuel costs (and typically, fuel prices have risen).

@forduk And then, the car was broken down due to a critical Transmission Malfunction error. I then found out that this was a Special Service Bulletin and along with it there were numerous updates due. If the car is in warranty, all updates should be covered under paid service. 😑

@forduk I recently serviced my New Ford car at a reputed dealer nearby. I asked them if they cover the latest software updates and they said it's now a charged service so I chose not to. This is very disappointing!

@forduk Cant dm u,but car has been taken for scrap.we have details saying known fault, cost to fix roughly around £3k.
Why weren’t all fords recalled & how did some get comp and others who didn’t know lose money and no longer have a car?

@forduk My husband’s new van has been in your workshop for six weeks and we think it should be under warranty. He hasn’t been able to work because you have had it so long and keep saying different problems and you want more money when he can’t earn anything. Nobody calls back
